Gopher Broke

Well it's not often that you get the scoop over boing-boing, so I have to gloat that we were well ahead of the wave here on The Cow:

This article from this morning about a guy who's just discovered that FAEs can be used for underground pest control.

Yawn. So Last Century...

Joey, you might be on to something. I get the picture of a scuba diver shoving an oxygen tank into a sharks mouth... and pulling a trigger. Wow, that would be awesome.

Oh yeah, and way to be ahead of the curve, Anaglyph.

I'm still waiting for a similar device to take out the armadillos under my house. Without of course destroying the house in the process. So maybe when you get tired of congratulating yourself--

Right, like *that* will ever happen.

Seriously though, nice going. With any luck you'll get an apology from boing-boing for overlooking your grooundbreaking efforts.

All: Now I want to be clear here: these kinds of shenanigans with volatile gases and flame and compressed gases should only be attempted by experienced idiots.

Sharks are not a problem for me, nor are armadillos, so I can't give advice on speculations entered above but I would be wary of actually getting close enough to a shark to shove a scuba tank down its throat.

As for cockroaches, well, I can only advise that you get a cat weird and anonymous. My little guy seems more than happy to tackle my cockroach problem.

In the absence of a Glitch of your own, if you live in Sydney "Stop Creep" is the only way to go - 2 Russian Australians dab pink stuff around you apartment & the next day - no more cockroaches ... at all ... for a year ... not even their dead bodies ... freaky but brilliant
