Falling Rocks

Bartolomeo Mecánico has taken the trouble to make an archive of road signs that compare interpretations of Men At Work, Children Crossing and Falling Rocks throughout the world. [Link]

Be sure to visit the Boulder Count page which shows a statistical distribution of the numbers of boulders that appear on Falling Rocks signs in different countries.

Bartolomeo, you are hereby inducted into the Tetherd Cow Ahead Society of Treasured Humans as the inaugural member.

Three cheers for Bartolomeo!

Society of Treasured Humans? Seems like an fine tribute in this case. All the more interesting with the induction criteria kept secret, obscure, and / or slippery.

One of the oddest warning signs I've seen was a nice yellow diamond that had "CHURCH" right in the middle. This was in the bible belt and I wonder if they thought heathens were so in need of salvation that a sign should be up to let you know where to pull over to save yourself.

I would love to nab one and turn it into and end table.

RJ: Yes, induction criteria will be that The Cow nods approvingly and I merely obey...

chickie: I once drove through the South of the US and was a little alarmed to see Baptist churches every five miles and National Guard Armouries every other five... If you ever make that end table, be sure to send a pic to The Cow!
