Apple

Here's another little thing from Mysterious Corner. It's a tiny glass apple, less than an inch in diameter, that my mum once gave me.

I can't remember the circumstances under which she gave it to me, or why she would ever have even chosen such a thing for me. But I'm glad she did because it always reminds me of her gentle and quirky nature.

Rest in peace mum.

that's really quite a prize. good thing its in YOUR mysterious corner, where it can be found and photographed. our mysterious corner extends from one end of the house to other -- on both floors --and we have no idea what's in there. . . Jimmy Hoffa maybe . . . los deseparecidos . . .

Joey:Yer so right. Except that I was evil well before my mum gave me the apple. And she stayed a good woman right to the end.

That small size seems unusual, like some kind of "miniature." Cool!

I think I've gone insane. I could swear I left a comment on this post earlier today. This is the second blog I swore I commented on, and the comment was not there when I came back to visit. Someone drag me away from the computer, please.

I blame Smenita, too. I just tried to visit the Cow, and was told I was FORBIDDEN. A few minutes later, as you can see, I have been allowed through the portals. Is the Cow forbidden fruit?

You should be amused to learn that a recent Google search for anaglyph + sexy brought a reader to my blog!

Jill: Yeah, well I'd like to think I had some groupies out there but the far greater likelihood is that it was someone searching for 3D pictures of naked air-hostesses.

That is really a beautiful object. Reminds me of a lot of the antique glassware my grandmother handed down to me, swirly colours, so nice... Your mom had good taste.
